Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled, experienced Ophthalmic Technician to join our team. As an Ophthalmic Technician, you will play a crucial role in assisting one ophthalmologist in providing high-quality eye care to our patients. Your responsibilities will include performing various diagnostic tests, preparing patients for examinations, and maintaining accurate medical records.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct preliminary patient screenings, including documenting medical history
- Perform diagnostic tests such as visual acuity, tonometry, and refraction
- Assist ophthalmologists during examinations and procedures
- Administer eye medications as directed by the physician
- Educate patients on proper eye care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records

Skills:
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems
- Strong knowledge of ophthalmology procedures and terminology
- Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate and professional demeanor
- Ability to perform basic diagnostic tests, such as measuring visual acuity and taking intraocular pressure readings; experience with OCT and topography a plus!

We offer competitive pay based on experience and qualifications.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
